Liverpool sent a giant red balloon onto the pitch to see if Alisson could spot the difference between that and a football, it has been reported.
The Brazil goalkeeper was spotted popping the ‘beach ball’ towards the end of the game which they drew with Switzerland.
But according to unofficial Liverpool insider Lee Satchell, the inflatable was actually a tactic to test if Alisson would make the same mistake Reina did back in 2009.

Instead of doing a Reina and trying to save the balloon instead of the football, Alisson walked forward and calmly popped the large balloon.
“John Henry was very impressed with how Alisson dealt with our sneaky tactic,” said Satchell.
“We thought it could never happen until Reina managed it, but we wanted to make double sure Alisson wouldn’t embarrass us again before we spent all our money replacing the brialliant Loris Karius.
“Yes, he might have conceded those Champions League goals but at least Karius has never been fooled by a beach ball.
“The only worry is that now Real Madrid have seen Alisson’s ability to spot the difference, they might be even more interested.”

Liverpool fans were quick to praise the Brazilian keeper for his balloon recognising skills.
