Even the most ambitious of West Ham fans won’t have predicted what happened next, with the captain firing an unstoppable drive back across Ben Hamer in the Leicester goal and into the far corner.

Noble immediately ran over to the travelling away fans to lap up their adulation on a momentous day for the club as they clinched a 2-0 win.
