There’s awkward and then there’s mid-season guard of honour awkward.
Swansea stood by the long-held tradition to congratulate the Premier League champions with a guard of honour today.
However it quickly turned into the biggest cringefest of the season – even the City players looked especially awkward.

Out come the City squad to what can only be described as muted applause from their opponents.
Instead of basking in the glory of being crowned champions in April, Kompany and co. strolled head down straight onto the field barely registering the reception.
The City fans were loving it but everyone else just wanted to get underway with the game as soon as possible.
The less guard of honours we have to see the better.
