Brighton’s Bruno claims Harry Kane’s strike as an own goal

Brighton defender Bruno has claimed that Harry Kane’s strike to give Spurs the lead should be given to him as an own goal.

The 37-year-old defender turned the ball into the back of the net after Kane slammed a shot goalwards just after half time.

After Kane was controversially awarded a goal with his ‘shoulder’ apparently Bruno wants the dubious goals panel to award him an own goal instead of giving it to the England man.

After a dull first half the game sparked into life when Gaetan Bong dallied just outside the area and allowed Heung-min Son to nick the ball off him and dribble along the byline.

Some silky dribbling saw Son round Matty Ryan in the six-yard box before he laid it into Kane’s path to smash home.

Bruno was on the line and diverted the ball into the goal before it crossed the line.

And despite the shot being on target, according to unofficial Brighton snapper Lee Satchell, Bruno went ballistic claiming the goal should have been given to him as an own goal.

Satchell explained that he could hear Bruno claiming that the shot was off target and he scored it as own goal from his position behidn the advertising hoardings.

“He was going crazy at the referee claiming that the goal had to be given as an own goal and he definitely felt the ball was going off target before he touched it,” said Satchell.

“He said he knew fantasy football managers would be furious but what about those who forgot it was a double game week and took Kane out of their team, ‘it wouldn’t be fair on them’ he said.”

Satchell added that Bruno then said he would apply to the dubious goals panel to make sure they gave the goal to him instead of Kane.

Twitter certainly agreed…

Imagine the scenes if Bruno appeals to the Premier League to claim that as an own goal 😂😂
