FIFA 18: Something incredible happens when you FORFEIT every game in Career Mode

FIFA 18 may have been out for a good few months, but there’s still plenty of stuff to discover – especially in Career Mode.

YouTuber DTT took it upon himself to find out what happens when you forfeit every game – with interesting results.

First of all, he kicked off a new Career with Real Madrid – before heading into the first match.

Before the whistle was blown, he quickly went on to the menu and forfeited the match.

It begins

Straight after the game, the inbox is flooded with a number of messages about the decision.

One from the Los Blancos board reads: ‘We’re sorry you saw fit to end the game early. We trust this is not something that will be a regular occurrence.”

Ha – they have no idea what’s coming.

The board are surprisingly understanding… for now

Now, here’s where it starts to get interesting.

Amazingly, when DTT forfeits the next game – there are no emails or anything like that.

Instead, the board deem it right to give you a ‘BONUS’ and you’re awarded additional funds ‘based on your performance in the competition’.

Erm… what

In real life we’re pretty sure the board would have sacked the manager on the spot, but anyway, it’s cool – we’ll roll with it.

Next up, Real Madrid take on Deportivo – and, yep, you’ve guessed it, it’s forfeited again.

That’s three games with a grand total of zero minutes playing time. Surely this is the final straw?

Nope.

The board continues to give you a chance – although their patience is wearing thin. They write: “Please consider this your final warning.”

The end is nigh

Next up, there’s a tie with Valencia – which is immediately forfeited. But yet again, amazingly, the board still won’t sack you.

I mean… seriously? Who the Hell is running this club?

Just fire me already

That’s four games with zero minutes of playing time.

But then, finally, the board cracks – and all of a sudden an email appears in the inbox with the subject line ‘Terminated’.

Goodbye

In a nice bit of detail from EA, the note references the fact that DTT’s continually been forfeiting matches – before wishing the YouTuber the best of luck.

So, there you have it – maybe not one to try at home.
